Today’s Interviews With Cats is with a floofy, snaggle-toothed charmer named Esteban Cat - you may follow him on Instagram where he and his brothers have over 20K followers - or you may just be meeting them for the first time here! Q: Tell us about yourself! Name, nickname, age, city, siblings, etc.

A: Hi, my name is Esteban also known as Este or Estebonkers; I am 8 years old and live with my two brothers, Quinn and Nigel in Upstate NY.

Q: Is there a special story behind your name?

A: I was named after the movie The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou. Specifically, the scene where Bill Murray yelled “Esteban was Eaten!!”

Q: What’s the most exciting thing that’s ever happened to you?

A: I’m an outdoorsman, so anytime I can go outside with mom is the most exciting.

Q: Tell us about a time you got in trouble with your meowmy:

A: I must confess, I like to chase my older brother, Quinn around the house and he does not like it at all, and yet, I can’t stop doing it.

Q: Tell us about your best day ever:

A: Best day ever was when I explored the woods on our property for the first time. There was so much to see and taste.

Q: What’s your favorite treat?

A: My newest obsession is Vitakraft liquid cat treats. You can’t get this stuff in the US. Luckily, our friend’s @bobbyandsadie sent us some all the way from England!

Q: What’s your favorite holiday and why?

A: Any holiday I can dress up for is my favorite, but if I had to choose one, then it would Cinco De Mayo! … Because I can show off my prized Sombrero.

Q: What do you want to be when you grow up?

A: I hope I can continue to live the life I’m living now….It’s a pretty awesome life.

Q: What’s your favorite toy and why?

A: There’s nothing better than enjoying a fine Catnip Cigar by the fire.

Q: Do you have any special talents you’d like to share?

A: When I am on my outside adventures, I don’t need a leash; I follow and listen to my mom.

Q: What do you do that annoys your parents?

A: I sing the song of my people in the wee hours of the night.

Q: What’s your favorite color?

A: Blue to match my eyes!

Q: Do you have a best friend? If so, who?

A: My brothers Quinn and Nigel are my best friends. I have also made so many great friends through Instagram; some of my closer pals are @chesterthemagnificent, @chunkyfonzandhitch [who were recently featured in their own Interviews With Cats - read here!], @glamboyz, and @yanksgal23.

Q: Do you have a favorite pastime?

A: I love to lie in the sun and chew on the sweet tasty grass.

Q: Anything else you’d like to share?

A: As rugged as I may seem, I have an inner diva who truly loves to wear clothes. I have my own dresser filled with hats and outfits. When I am ready to go outside, I will follow my mom to my dresser and will look up at her waiting for her to dress me.
