Following #BrusselsLockdown Cat Memes, Belgian Tourism Board Incorporates Dancing Cats Into New Ad
It's official: Belgium loves cats. Last week the residents of Brussels were subject to a five day city-wide lockdown in the wake of the Paris attacks. During this time, residents supported police requests to stay inside and not reveal their whereabouts by instead Tweeting out a barrage of cat pictures.
This week, the Belgian tourism board has incorporated Magritte-inspired dancing cats into a video which features cats in front of various popular tourist sites around the country.
The video was produced partly as a lure to get tourists back into the country, as well as a show of support to the people of Belgium.
